Practice & Performance

Building placement confidence through mock tests

The AAMS Placement Cell conducts regular mock tests, aptitude assessments and simulated interview sessions to help students measure their readiness before campus recruitment. These practice rounds give students a realistic preview of actual placement processes and help them improve in targeted areas.

Results are shared transparently so students can track their individual progress over multiple rounds, identify gaps and work with mentors to improve. Faculty and placement coordinators use these results to tailor coaching sessions effectively.

How to perform better in mock tests

Mock tests are most valuable when you treat them like real assessments and review your performance after each round. Here are the key strategies recommended by AAMS placement faculty.

  1. Attempt every round seriously

Treat each mock round as a real placement drive. Consistent seriousness builds discipline, reduces exam anxiety and improves time management.

  2. Review your result feedback

After each round, go through the answer key and feedback report carefully. Identify which sections cost you the most marks and plan targeted revision.

  3. Practice weak areas daily

Devote at least 30 minutes every day to the sections where your score is below average — aptitude, GD skills or interview communication.

  4. Seek mentor guidance

Reach out to your placement coordinator or faculty mentor for personalised coaching. One-on-one sessions can accelerate improvement significantly.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Common queries about mock tests and placement preparation at AAMS.

Who can participate in the mock tests?

All students enrolled in UG and PG programmes at AAMS — BBA, BCA, BSW, PMIR and MSW — are eligible to participate. Final-year students are strongly encouraged to attend all rounds.

How do I get my individual score report?

Score reports are shared directly with students through the Placement Cell. You can also request your detailed report by emailing placement@aams.ac.in with your name and roll number.

Do mock test scores affect final placement eligibility?

Mock test scores are used for tracking progress and guiding improvement — they are not directly used to determine placement eligibility. However, consistent performance demonstrates readiness and may be considered for shortlisting in some drives.

How often are mock tests conducted?

AAMS conducts a minimum of six mock rounds per academic year — typically two per semester for final-year students. Additional rounds may be scheduled ahead of major campus placement drives.

What resources are available to prepare for the tests?

The Placement Cell provides study material, previous mock papers and coaching sessions for aptitude and communication skills. Students also have access to the college library and digital learning resources.

When are results declared after a mock round?

Results for aptitude rounds are usually published within 48 hours. GD and interview feedback reports take slightly longer and are typically shared within 3–5 working days after the round.
